More Than Just A Post Puller The NW Quik Pull Is A Landscaping Removal Tool As Well

One of the things we like most here at NW Quik Pull is to reach out to our community to see if anyone has a problem our tool can solve. Whether it’s an old fence, a broken or rotted post, a small tree, shrub, bamboo, grapevine; you name it, we are up for the challenge! It usually doesn’t take much advertising to get someone to alert us to their landscaping problem they need help with. And it is always a win, win situation. What I mean by that is that they get some kind of project done, and we get some new pictures and videos for our social media advertising, and blog content. It also gives us an opportunity to introduce our landscaping removal tool to people who didn’t know that it was even available!

The Landscaping Removal Tool For Tight Situations

One of our recent projects was for our new found friend Joy. She had responded to our ad in a community page saying she had a post she wanted removed, and a few shrubs also. We set up a time to go to her place, and away we went taking along NW Quik Pull, Landscaping Removal Tool!

Joy is married to a disabled Veteran and has 5 children, works full time, and owns a house on a few acres with a smattering of animals. Needless to say, she could certainly use some help! She showed us the post that was actually in the very center of the chicken coop area. Apparently the fencing had been reconfigured in recent years, but no one had bothered to remove the post!

We set up our tool and I gave her the basic demonstration. She was a quick study and easily had that post removed in just a few minutes. Because of the ease of the landscaping removal tool, she was eager to try it on some shrubs she wanted removed. She had told us that she works at Wilco, a farm store, and that she works with plants, so she knows her stuff!

Post, Shrubs, Trees, The NW Quik Pull Is The Landscaping removal Tool That Pulls Them All

Next up was a shrub that had many stems or branches coming up from the ground. Because of the way the plant grew, it was best to wrap a strap around the base of the shrub at ground level to bundle the stems all together while pulling. We then wrapped the chain around the strap and pulled. This shrub pulled with ease, much like the fence post, without digging!

Next Joy pointed out a rhododendron she wanted removed. She said she didn’t like it because it was pink! We asked her if she thought it would transplant well once we pulled it. She thought it would if we were able to pull enough roots out with it and not do too much damage to it as we pulled. This shrub was on the smaller side as far as rhododendrons go so this pull was pretty easy. It didn’t seem to get too damaged in the removal process, so we loaded it up and took it home to transplant it at our house.

Our next task was a couple of small fir trees which were too close to her house. While those trees were rather tall, the trunk size was only about 6 inches in diameter. In some cases, we cut down the tree first, leaving a 3 or 4 foot stump to work with. That wasn’t necessary in this case. We wrapped the chain around  the base of those trees, one at a time, and those pulls were relatively easy also.

We did this project for Joy in the early Spring in the Pacific Northwest. The ground was relatively soft, and the work was pretty easy. NW Quik Pull works on leverage, on a tripod which allows for maximum stability of the tool, providing up to 10,000lbs of pulling power! While that much power was not needed in this landscaping removal task, the tool is made for that much!

Our project with Joy actually was spread out over a few different days. Each time we showed up for a task, Joy was friendly and fun to work with. Meeting people in our community and helping them with landscaping issues is fun for us here at NW Quik Pull.

And that Rhododendron shrub we pulled at Joys house…. we did transplant it at our house. It is now months later and it is prospering! And I like Pink!
