NW Quik Pull Pulling Tool Year in Review!
It’s the end of the year, and time to take inventory! What has been going on with pulling tool the NW Quik Pull? Well, it’s been a really busy year actually; our biggest growth year yet! And I am excited to tell you all about it!
Great Shows With Great Industry Friend For Our Little Pulling Tool In Q1
In January we attended the California Rental Association Rental Rally Trade Show in Las Vegas. NW Quik Pull makes a great rental tool because it gives the homeowner access to this pulling tool without having to purchase it. Attending this show allowed us to jumpstart our sales in that month, and February also.
In February we attended FENCETECH, the largest Fence Industry Trade Show in New Orleans. This opportunity was made possible because of our connection to Shawn King who owns Mr. Fence, Mr. Fence Tools, and Mr. Fence Academy in Evansville Indiana. He has been our business partner since December 2021 and he sells NW Quik Pull through his tool store. Because of his backing and support of our pulling tool, he has been responsible for 25% of our growth in sales this year! We cannot give enough praise to Shawn King and Mr. Fence Tools!
Spring Time In the Vineyard For Our Pulling Tool
We continue to find new uses for NW Quik Pull, and one of those new areas is vineyards. We had some sales to vineyards and in April, we went to California to visit a couple of our new customers to learn about their success with our tool. It works to pull all posts on the vineyard, and removes damaged, or old grapevines too. You can read more about that in the blog I wrote here.
It was in May of this year that we began working with a new manufacturer, Kuhn’s Welding in Nappane Indiana. We met Leroy Kuhns at the American Rental Association trade show in October 2021, where he approached us and told us that he wanted to work with us and manufacture our tool. He not only has a manufacturing business, he also owns Kuhn’s Power Equipment where he manufactures and sells commercial tillers, brush mowers, and log splitters. This is a great small business where they are committed to producing high quality products. This partnership has proven to be very beneficial to our business!
The NW Quik Pull Pulling Tool Discovering New Opportunities In The Fall
Another new arena is the Public Works Community. In October, we attended the American Public Works Association State Trade Show here in Washington. While this was a smaller show than some that we have exhibited at, we feel it was important to get in front of a crowd of these particular folks. Public Works is such a large umbrella that covers many areas in which NW Quik Pull could be a solution. From landscaping removal, to sign post removal, to guard rail removal, and even man hole cover removal. We made a few sales through that show, and we can’t wait to see how our tool is going to benefit that industry!
NW Quik Pull also debuted at the Equip Exposition in Louisville Kentucky in October which is the largest Landscaping, and Power Equipment Trade Show. This show has been going on for over 40 years! Attending this show allowed us to get in front of the landscaping industry thereby increasing our sales over the most recent months. You can read more about our experience at that show by reading our blog…… You can also see an interview of us done by Landscape Management Magazine by clicking this link.
This years sales growth can also be attributed to our friend Travis Collins who is an Instagram Social Media Influencer. You can find him on Instagram @toolsbydesign where he has almost 700,000 followers. He has been showcasing our tool by using it on his property in Florida and sharing his experience with it. He is one of our biggest fans, and we recently had the privilege of meeting him in person at the Equip Exposition!
Getting to know the Fence Industry through our connection with Shawn King has been a really beautiful experience. There are so many people in that industry who want to help others grow their businesses. One of those people is Tony Thornton, who was the President of the American Fence Association last year. This year he opened his own business, Thornton Fence Consulting Group where he shares his expertise in all things fencing. I met Tony at FENCETECH in February, so when I saw his post in the fence Facebook group asking to interview companies about their products, I reached out to him and asked for an interview. He shared our interview in other groups, but you can check out that interview here.
There is so much more I am probably forgetting about. I do want to mention that we have joined some Associations this year. Membership in Associations can bring so many benefits, not just the obvious of networking! There is also great support especially in regards to attending trade shows. NW Quik Pull currently belongs to the ARA (American Rental Association), the CRA (California Rental Association), the AFA (American Fence Association) NAFCA (North American Fence Contractors Association) FWA (Fence Workers Association). We continue to seek out new associations to join for their networking and support.
This year we have also been blessed to have been introduced to the U.S. Commercial Service. This is a team of people who are lead by our own personal International Trade Specialist Haisum Shah, who are helping us to grow our business internationally. They are doing marketing research in areas we are interested in such as Canada, UK, Australia, and Europe. This information will be used in the coming year to establish new relationships in some of those countries with their introductions.
2022 Was Great We Can’t Wait To See What Success 2023 Will Bring For Our Pulling Tool
Wow! That’s a lot isn’t it? Our sales this year has tripled all of our sales last year. And with the help of the people and businesses I mentioned above, we are hoping that we can do that again in 2023. We already have plans to attend the following trade shows…
California Rental Association (CRA) Rental Rally Show in Las Vegas January 2023
National Hardware Show in Las Vegas January 2023
American Rental Association (ARA) Trade Show in Orlando February 2023
FENCETECH American Fence Association (AFA) Trade Show in Oklahoma February 2023
American Public Works Association (APWA) Spring Conference April 2023
Fence Show Fence Workers Association (FWA) Trade Show in Las Vegas August 2023
Those are the shows currently on our schedule, but we are open to more. One thing we have learned this year is that trade shows bring us success by putting us in front of lots of people all at once. And they offer a great way to network and meet new people.
I hope you have enjoyed following our journey. It’s been an exciting ride so far! We look forward to connecting with you at a show, here in our blog, or on our social media in the future!
